This privacy statement explains the collection and use practices of IN HOUSE MARKETING.
Collection and Use of Information
When we need information that personally identifies you or allows us to contact you, we will ask you for it. For example, we may ask you for your name, address, telephone number business name and email address.
The information collected by us will be used by us and any of our subsidiaries and affiliates to provide the services or carry out the transactions you have requested or authorized, to request additional information or feedback from you and to provide notifications to you, regarding those services or transactions, to improve the services or transactions, or to tell you about new products or services.
To offer you a more consistent and personalised experience with us, information collected in relation to some services or transactions may be combined with information related to other services or transactions. We may also supplement the information we collect with information we collect from other sources. For example, we may use services derived from other companies to derive your geographic area based on your IP address.
Information collected may be stored and processed in Australia or any other country or region in which you or IN HOUSE MARKETING or its subsidiaries or affiliates operate.
IN HOUSE MARKETING abides by the safe harbour framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use and retention of data from the European Union and complies with the Privacy Act, 1988 (Commonwealth of Australia).
IN HOUSE MARKETING may hire other companies to provide limited services on our behalf, such as reporting, researching, development, processing transactions or performing statistical analysis of our services and internet-based content. Collection and Use of Information about your Computer for Internet-Based Features and Services
IN HOUSE MARKETING has opportunities it can offer you to create enhanced Internet-based profiles and content for you. The information that IN HOUSE MARKETING sends across the Internet depends on those profiles and content. If we use Internet-enabled features, information about your computer ("standard PC information") may sent to the provider of those Internet-based features. IN HOUSE MARKETING may use standard PC information to provide you with such Internet-enabled features, for the purposes of services and transactions authorised by you, to help improve our services, and for statistical analysis of profiles and content. Standard PC information includes without limitation your IP address, operating system version, browser version and regional and language settings and hardware ID (which indicates the device manufacturer, device name and version). If necessary for a particular service or transaction, IN HOUSE MARKETING may send your standard PC information across the Internet-enabled features.
To the extent that you or other persons who may view your Web site use services provided by us to access, view or use Internet-based content and services, IN HOUSE MARKETING may collect information about such visits, including access times, the pages or items viewed, searches for content, the links or other items clicked, and other actions taken in connection with the content and services accessed or viewed. We may also collect information about content or software errors that occurred when viewing or using certain Internet-based content and services which includes the type of error, where the error occurred and the time of the error.
IN HOUSE MARKETING collects stores and processes information about you to effectively operate systems for your Internet-based profiles and content. It may also be used to customize the content and information that is delivered to your PC and for other purposes. For example collection and analysis of information about who has visited your Web site helps us improve your Internet-based profiles and content for you and to ensure that the way we provide our services are efficient and effective. In general, the collection and use of such information allows us to provide the services and transactions to you and to provide improved profiles, content and services that are most likely to be of assistance.
Shared Information
IN HOUSE MARKETING can put you in touch with content and services delivered by external providers. If you choose to use their services IN HOUSE MARKETING and/or the provider may collect, receive and use information about you and your activities as relevant to the providers' services, including content that is browsed, viewed or requested, searches performed, changes to preferences, content queues, ordering mechanisms, parental control settings or other configurations or settings available in connection with the providers' services.
IN HOUSE MARKETING does not control the information that is collected and used by such providers and IN HOUSE MARKETING is not responsible for the privacy arrangements of such providers. If IN HOUSE MARKETING collects such information on behalf of a provider IN HOUSE MARKETING may send information to the provider for the purposes of the provision of its services to you and such other purposes as the provider may disclose to you in their applicable privacy policies.
IN HOUSE MARKETING may use the information it collects in connection with the providers' services to operate those services, including delivering you with personalized content, recommendations and other features and to analyse and improve IN HOUSE MARKETING's services and transactions.
Certain providers will require you to install additional software and in connection with such installation, IN HOUSE MARKETING may collect standard PC information (as described above). Some provides may ask you to enter a user name and password to use their services. Your user name and password may be sent by IN HOUSE MARKETING to the provider who may then return an authentication token to IN HOUSE MARKETING to verify your ability to access the provider's services. Your PC may allow you to save your user name and password and/or an authentication token to verify your ability to use the providers' services. IN HOUSE MARKETING will not collect or use your user name and password or authentication token for any purpose other than to provide you with access to the providers' services.
Other Web Sites, Applications and Services
You may have access to web sites, content and services. When you access them, you will be subject to that web site's privacy practices. Similarly you will be subject to the privacy policy of software providers. IN HOUSE MARKETING is not responsible for the privacy policies of other web sites, applications and services. They may request information from your PC to provide you with an enhanced experience. IN HOUSE MARKETING does not send information that would personally identify you to such web sites and services without your consent except as set out above. However they may ask for other non-identifying information which IN HOUSE MARKETING may provide them.
Cookies
Some features of software that may be used to provide Internet-based profiles and content may use cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web server. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you and can only be read by a Web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your PC. A cookie is often used to personalize your visit to a Web site or to save you time. For example, to facilitate a purchase, the cookie could contain information about your current selection as well as personally-identifiable information such as your name or email address. Some websites will not work unless cookies are enabled. For the purposes of IN HOUSE MARKETING checking on your Internet-based profiles and content we may use and install cookies on your PC. We are not responsible for providers as to whether or not they use cookies.
Feedback
We may ask you for feedback about our services and transactions. If you wish to participate in providing feedback, we may collect basic information about how you have used our services or how others have used your services and transactions to identify trends and usage patterns. IN HOUSE MARKETING may also collect data about errors in software or hardware and the performance and speed of your PC and the services. IN HOUSE MARKETING may collect your name address and other contact information for this purpose and use it to improve the quality, reliability and performance of software and services.
